Yeah I don't really get the hype for this either. Sounds kind of generic to me.

I like how poppy this sounds while having moments of heaviness. I think more metalcore bands should embrace that instead of trying to be "epic br00tal".

idk a lot of the big clean-produced metalcore I've heard tends to lack restraint

"The Summits chorus sounds like Charli XCX and I’m here for it." - (BallsToTheWall)

lol, that is a good thing because i secretly like Charli XCX and listen to nuclear season when tripping sometimes,

Also, great review, almost better than Garths review. You were spot on about "Hurt you", their most generic sounding metal track that is verse/chorus/verse/chorus type of boring.

Only thing i CAN'T agree is your statement on saying "Halcyon" was essentially a filler track. I quite liked this one and thought the ending/latter half of the song was epic.

What I will always find funny is how much I hated the second incarnation of IWABO. And yet, Courtney came back strong! And regarding Jinjer, Tatiana would be better in another band.

Something about the track sequencing really bothers me. There's no flow at all. The first and the last songs fit, but everything else feels very randomized. Also, Circle With Me is grossly generic, by the book metalcore.

Blessed Be too :/ shame both of those songs are great. Either one could have easily replaced Yellowjacket bc damn upon further listening Sam really hogs the spotlight on that song.

shit is j stupid repetitive to me i thought i liked the breakdown and some of the verse riffing but theyre just kinda alright. not a bad song but i really dig everything here other than that and yellowjacket so they kinda stick out like sore thumbs

The vocals are really repetitive after a few listen. The lack of dynamics in his singing voice makes this very monotonous. I know it's made on purpose to create an "atmospheric" feel but more diversity would be good in the album as a whole.

Overproduction doesn't help either.
