Artist just doesn't do it for me anymore for whatever reason. I listen to it since it was released and it used to be my favorite Thrice album but for that particular style I think Illusion of Safety aged the best. Maybe I'll regain my love for it if they decide to finally remaster it after hinting at it so many times.

artist was s tier when i was 15 but idk just hasnt held up as well as the others songwriting isnt as compelling to me outside of the obvious bangers. better than this tho but ive only heard this like thrice (heh) so kinda unfair to rank yet
where when i was 15 beggars was probably like a 3 but now theres no question in my mind its the best full length

yeah sucks to admit but Artist has not aged well at all, the atrocious mix doesn't help but it's just less compelling and fun than Illusion which still holds up beautifully

I have never been a fan of artist in the ambulance or illusion of safety, but that's probably because I didn't become a fan of thrice until to be everywhere is to be nowhere. I've only ever cared about vheissu on and ignore the first 3 albums

Vheissu was my first Thrice too. I remember the huge disappointment I felt when they released the Alchemy Indices. But thankfully, they bounced back to form with Beggars :3
