Bumping this up because I Can Wait is incredibly catchy and currently blown away by Hey. The lyrics are also hitting a bit harder.

Hang on, what happened and how can it improve my musical experience by conjuring up feelings, I never knew I had?
(apologies if anyone was effected by this news)

Also haven’t listened to this in a while and coming back to an album after a long time sometimes helps.

Yeah, that’s not great. Is she responsible for the incredible fem vox heard in many of Low’s works? That’s a hell of a loss.
I’ll do some reading, see if that helps. Thanks Mongi

Have a feeling this is going to feel even heavier knowing it was the last thing she'd produce and the end of Low as we know it. Too early to say of course and Alan should process however he feels is right but I do assume he will retire the moniker from here on out because Low is truly inimaginable without her.

This would be an absolutely incredible way to go out, if this is indeed the end of Low. Crafting something such as this, so late into your career is no easy feat.
I should do a proper discog run for the full context, but this seems like such an incredibly creative reinvention, anyway

Played this again this morning, just about made it to Don’t Walk Away and then started sobbing, when the album had finished I practically ran downstairs to give my wife a hug, I think she was very concerned / confused for a minute - until I eventually explained.
RIP Mimi. Incredible album by the way, regardless of the event that has ended up making it feel more powerful than before.
I want to do the full discog run at some point. I’ve heard the first 5 + the latest 2. I’m also not sure why Double Negative was the only one I didn’t really enjoy, so that needs another revisit.

I have a much harder time getting into their older stuff and think their last two albums are their best. Double Negative has some tracks that flow into each other very nicely and the vibe is great. Some of their best songs on that (Fly, Dancing and Blood, Dancing and Fire, Always Up, Always Trying to Work It Out). It's almost as good as this, possibly better depending on my mood.
