Criminally underrated because it is Halsey and not some indie artist who releases one stellar album and disappears critically. For pop, this is the most listenable album for people typically into hard rock or alt rock. It is not perfect, Halsey is not an articulate lyricist. IMO, it is better than anything Charli XCX ever put out and somehow she won AOTY in 2020. This album wasn't even nominated or mentioned as a top pop album by any writer or contributor on Sputnikmusic. It is a testament to how powerful of a collaboration can be with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. It is the most fun I have heard in a Trent Reznor project since With Teeth.
