It's certainly their most ambitious release to date.

Dear Sputnik,
Please do spare me the effort and... Nightmare of having to listen to this in its full length and do recommend me a choice top 3 of songs, which I should focus on; barring the 3 pre-released singles, please kindly.

Pleasantly surprised by some sound choices. I didn't expect a song like "Garden of Cyrus".
Very nice review, too!

Thanks ;)
I don't think anyone saw that coming. It's the song farthest from the band's usual signature.

Dear TheNotrap,
I appreciate your suggestions. I found Eternal Winter of Reason to my liking, and especially moreso Garden of Cyrus.
I would myself add as a suggestion Cosmic Pessimism; For the reasons that it kinda reminds me of Death in their Human / ITP era. (and that's the best Death era for me)

This is SO mundane, I used to love ATG as a wee buck. Jesus.
|
| |
it's so weird seeing ATG regularly put out albums now

but less surprising how regularly uninspired they are any more

I’m pretty underwhelmed by this one so far, can’t lie. Maybe it’ll grow on me

"Cosmic Pessimism" is so groovy. It's hard to believe it's an AtG song, but at the same time it fits so naturally on the album. I almost wish it didn't go full on distorted and growling toward the end because I really dig the clean guitars and the narration, but it's still a good track, possibly my favorite right now.

Whenever I listen to that song I always think of Robert Smith.

they need to fix these vocals

Vocals are fine IMO although disappointing considering
|
| |
@TheNotrap what exactly makes you relate this to Robert Smith, dude?

The song has a The Cure-ish gothic layer, LaughingSkull.
