Awesome review. Really liked the link between improvements to the Detroit mixes and the social issues raised. Going to jam this now

And yeah, this is a literal 5/5. Only track I don’t adore is Right On.

"Only track I don’t adore is Right On"

But that's the best track along with Inner City Blues :[

I’m just some white dude in Australia but this never really clicked with me.

I’m much more into Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions when I need my soul fix.

“What’s going on” is prob like a top 10 single ever, and inner city blues might be top 100. Bookends clearly the best but beautiful album

the title track to this album is one of the only truly genuine (and you can feel the intent is real) attempts from a musican to call for true peace, there was so much shit just before this album came out and after, just completely trite hippie ''Flower Power'' bullshit, just vapid shit coming out around this time, it was oversaturated really. But the title track here expresses a true genuine desire for peace, which can be felt when listening to it.
