"apocalyptically drippy sadindie"
Enough said right there honestly, I'm sold.
And yes, please go into this expecting nothing less than the next Paramore masterpiece

What an exquisite review This album is really something else and it deserves all the attention it gets.
@chambered79 Best to listen to it from start to finish, it really has no weak parts. Just depends on what you prefer.

I agree about listening to it all the way through (as much as possible anyway, I'm not ignoring the fact that it's dauntingly long). Somehow across 109 minutes this doesn't get stale, builds on itself, and evolves in stunning and mysterious ways.

Can confirm I will probably rate this around a 4 by the end of the week when I finally make it through my first spin.

Yessssss a Nocte metal community approved 4/5
Anything in particular stand out on first listen? My first listen I was too shocked and excited to really recall anything and just had to start over, ha

--Anything in particular stand out on first listen?--
Maybe I needed a break from those two metal albums I have for review in the 21/5 week but the change of genre and pacing is welcome - this might effect my rating, who knows?
I am on my first spin, so all things considered I am really digging the dystopian atmosphere that really hits its stride before the second half of the record. I do also have very nice things to say about the wholesome completeness found in the opening few tracks. "piel" has a cleaner swarthly vibe al a Portal (good luck to the guys who can work that comparison out//it's in my head etc).
Set backs include the run time (which considering the Paysage worship the userbase had last year shouldn't really be an issue) but this album literally feels like it has been playing for the better part of four hours (?) and some of these minimalistic ambient filler tracks that meander and go nowhere.
The usual disclaimer still counts here: still listening//will have a better picture in a few hours.
Also, unrelated: I have a community now? I thought I was part of a sput-unity.
