@anode: It's like depressing as fuck indie/chamber pop
The vocalist kinda sounds like he smokes a pack of cigarettes every day and the album is about how his mom died of cancer and about how his sister committed suicide, but with flourishes of orchestral arrangements and occasional soft rock sections
It's honest, modest, and somehow goofy musically at times -despite the lyrics and meaning being so grief-stricken and downtrodden
That being said: your ratings and your "be honest, is this good, cuz indie usually blows" implication makes me think you wouldn't like this at all, but sometimes I'm wrong.
It's not a heavy, or angry, or intense album. It's just like mellow and melancholic as he copes with loss
