He was young, happy and in love when he made Lighght and I prefer that Kishi.

But I guess it's nice that he also does Dolly Parton covers now. The innocence couldn't last.

why settle for glittery folk-pop when you can have something as heartfelt as Omoiyari or as quaint and rustic as this

Instead of settling for what Kishi album is more 'cool' or 'relevant' or 'acceptable sowingcore', I dig it all.

I think Summer of 42 / Marigolds / Jerome / Violin Tsunami is Kishi in his mf LANE for the matured sound, but I do also think he’s mostly suited for the Lighght sound tho

Hard to deal with such a nuanced take, so I'll just subtly applaud your input.

I think I kind of get what he said, although I like both the early Kishi and this late folkier side (which personally I tend to enjoy more), I feel that Kishi had such a unique vibe and style on 151a and Lighght, that his transition to a more acoustic and folk sound now feels so drastically different that it loses the thing that made him interesting/peculiar/different (don't know what adjective to use here, sorry) on the first place that it almost seems like a different artist. Both very good artists but different, more mature but also less "uniqueness". Don't know if I was able to say what I intended.

This is WAY better now I'm listening in the summer heat. Deserved a bump
