A Sowing metal 5, has the world gone mad?
This is absolutely an AOTY contender.
Also shame on all of you for acting like Omega Severer isn't the best song of 2021 so far.

This album is responsible for slowly diminishing most of my other ratings this year. I think we got another top 5 contender and I'm a little upset at how good this is.

Still waiting for this one to click, it didn't impress me as much as their debut after my first two listens.

This is a great review btw. You manage to convey how impressive this album is without coming across as hyperbolic, which is a line I always struggled to toe. "This new release is everything Asheran was but bigger, heavier and I'd say even "better", but that will be a matter of discussion that will last for the best part of the year and beyond." Good stuff, I like how you are able to frame everything within a broader context while still implying that this thing's sheer magnitude makes it their best release yet.
I'll definitely be checking the debut eventually, but not until I ride out this record's hype until the very end. I'm struggling to put my finger on the last time I cared about a metal release this much. I'd cite 2017's Mastodon release, but they're really not comparable in quality because this is so much better. Maybe since Opeth's Watershed. All I know is that it's been ages since I've felt this kind of disturbance in my fairy-filled Fleet Foxes folk forest (yay for alliteration), and I like it.

I've definitely found this less immediate than the debut but it's starting to click for me too.

Nice review Dewinged! Don't think I'm quite on the hype train for this one yet, but it's an excellent album and everything this band has done so far is golden

Still prefer Asheran, but man it's veeeeery close. Might reach the same level for me given time though, we'll see. Still, Dvne are one of the most exciting bands for me at the moment.
