Upon further listens, Gullwing Doors is a huge highlight on here. Masterful lyrics and a great musical backdrop too

The Balcony and Holy Rose are still my go-to jams, but that's up there too.

Both of those are great tunes too. I've been spending a fair bit of time lately with this band's back catalog, and I'm more confident than ever that this is their best album.

I've spent zero time with their back catalog and I'm equally as confident =D
In all seriousness though everything I've read and briefly sampled from previous works sounds hollow by comparison, so I have no real desire to prioritize the band’s past efforts when this is so good.

Haha, fair enough. Everything they've done is enjoyable, with a few near-classic tunes here and there, but for the most part I wouldn't consider it essential stuff.

One of my top 10 albums from 2021. Such a good execution of indie folk and the vocal performances were notable and signature. Really hope I get to see them live this year!
