There are 7 Loeffler siblings. Joe was kicked out for being a huge douche-bag, and didn't write any of his basslines, with the exception of "An Evening With El Diablo." Didn't want to tour a lot, which the band is known for doing consistently, so they canned him. Joe told his side that they never told him, but there is a reason he hasn't made any music since, and the band he joined named "Interview" back in 09' with former Papa Roach, and P.O.D. members went absolutely nowhere. Now he reviews cars on his YouTube channel.
Pete has been very vocal about the departure, and in a recent interview with Joel from Good Charlotte, they haven't spoken in 20 years. Dean did in fact do basslines for NIRATIAS, but Pete went in and re-recorded almost all of them, himself. Dean also wanted to focus on his art, and furniture making which he is very talented at.

Yes, Drifter! Pete actually writes almost all of the music for the band, with the exception of the Drums.
There is also a version of "Verruckt" with lyrics, and I am dying to hear it. I was able to see them live for the first time when Joe was still in the band. 9 Chevelle shows, under my belt lol; met them 3 times.
