When you have been at it for this long, you are bound to recycle a few things here and there, I would think

I'm really enjoying this one. I've only listened to La Gargola, so I don't know where this falls in their catalogue.
Just tell me they're not simping over Elon's Musk.

Pete kills it all album long. Some of his best vocal work IMO.

He sounds like a combination of James Keenan and Mailloux from Rishloo

my early ranking would be something like this, though most of sput seems to disagree with me
This Type of Thinking > Wonder What's Next > Vena Sera > NIRITIAS > Sci-Fi Crimes > Hats Off > North Corridor > La Gargola > Point #1

^Really cool to see TTOT on top there as it will always be my favorite. Also bumping because I think La Gárgola is a bit overrated in general.

This is fantastic. Probably their best since Sci fi (though I absolutely love HOTTB and La Gargola also — all 4.5s for me).

"To some degree, {{Chevelle}} is planning a sneak attack: They want listeners to warm up to their music-even before they know that this is a trio of Christians. "A lot of Christians get a bad rap, even before people know you. We're kind of keeping a low profile, and we're just gonna kind of see where God takes us. Then we'll look for the opportunities to witness."

Yeah they released Point #1 under a christian label but they've distanced themselves from that ever since. Judging Pete's lyrical content of horror and sci-fi I highly doubt he would consider himself a devout christian these days.

lol okay okay I jest
when I was 9 or 10 my friend's mom bought us one of their records because it was in the christian section so the correlation is forever ingrained
