The first 6 songs are good but it totally falls apart after that. There's no need for it to be an hour long.

After releasing The Here and Now and Daybreaker, I was surprised when they managed to capture lightning in a bottle again with Lost Forever and All Our Gods, but I have a feeling this is the final nail in the coffin for Architects. I'll always appreciate a band doing something different than making the same album over and over (looking at you Amity), and I respect what they're going for, I just don't think they pulled it off all that well.

Daybreaker rules tho.
And yeah, Amity can only write two or three decent singles nowadays, and the rest of the album is a complete dumpster fire. Which is a huge shame, cause Youngbloods and Chasing Ghosts are two of my favorite albums ever

Yeah totally agree. I even think Chasing Ghosts doesn't get as much love in their discog as it should. Flowerbomb and Bondi St. Blues are peak-Amity imo.
I think the thing that bums me out the most about this album, is that it's /not/ awful. The fact that it's average but still listenable makes it out to be somehow worse? Probably sound like a total hypocrite.

"I was surprised when they managed to capture lightning in a bottle again with Lost Forever and All Our Gods"
I agree that Lost Forever Lost Together was lightning in a bottle and some songs on All Our Gods were too. Some of their best stuff pretty late in their career, that's kinda wild. It's not like they were very versatile records, but they hit a certain something there
|

for me all their discs after xxxxxbreaker all sound the same(?)

Most of them do, but that doesn't mean LFLT isn't awesome. What came after that one is watered down though

Man I really fucking hate how badly they whiff the breakdown on the Winston feature. We finally get him screaming properly after the bullshit he pulled on Reverence but this is all that the instrumentation around him can pull?

Genuinely surprised at the lack of hate for Little Wonder.
