You're right, it should probably be lower.

Should definitely be lower. This thing is 15 songs and about an hour of material and basically all of it is bad except for a few songs which are okay.
It's a bummer because I actually think they could do the radio-friendly rock sound really well. They have the talent to do it, they just chose to write a bunch of boring and predictable songs. It's just poor execution imo.

Yeah as much as I want to defend this album, a 5 is pretty out there. That would imply this is a flawless record, which it's far from being. What it is for me is a very enjoyable album which doesn't rank with the bands best work (All our Gods and LF/LT) but is also nowhere near the low of The Here and Now, which I tried listening to again recently and just found some parts of it completely unlistenable.

gotta 5 to overcompensate the anime basement elitist users illogically claiming it's anything under a 3
this album blends the best of their sound into a more accessible ball and thats why the elitists hate it....
anything more accessible from a band thats busted their asses for 15 years, gone through trials and tribulations losing founding member/main writer, finally gets some recognition makes them 'sellouts'.....
i hate this site

Just because someone dies doesn't mean the band is exempt from criticism come on now.

Literally none of this has anything to do with the fact that they made a shitty Linkin Park/BMTH album

Also, imagine thinking the best parts of architects were present anywhere on this
Making an accessible album doesn’t mean it’s bad. This one just is LOL

Exactly nash lol. I'm cool with them shooting for the radio and trying to "sell out" or whatever. But I think they could have executed it a lot better than they did.

I think parts of this work well, but yeah, this is as big of a flop to me as Holy Hell was and almost for the same reason:
This is all samey radio metal that doesn't standout
Holy Hell was samey watered down version of the 2 prior albums that did little to stand out
At least they tried something a bit different than LFLT part IV I suppose

cant tell which is worse: this band's entire discography or the new offspring single
