marlene dietrich is the kidz bop version of a good post-punk ballad tune tbh

Track X is very minimal classical like penguin cafe orchestra.

Am I allowed to dislike this yet? I was going to (probably), but now I'm concerned this opinion has been outlawed by certain users (sometimes with painfully vanilla taste). Why complain about people overrating genres this has nothing to do with, like it's a relevant point? You guys crack me up.

I saw some strange comments, but they were on page 2/3 (I'm not quoting them for ref). I have witnessed this phenomenon before.
I don't hold out much hope for this one, although I guess the intro was decent. Thinking this style is probably just not my bag.

I thought it was alright. Its like black midi but more boring and somehow more pretentious
Think that's my favorite comment in this whole thread.

Black Midi's ceiling is higher, as is the floor. This is mostly just dull.
I kind of hate how they execute a couple of the would-be climaxes, almost as though it's entirely intentional to tease you with a tiny morsel of what could've been, without fully committing to it.

Perhaps. Slint understand atmosphere + tension/release. These guys, not so much.
