"Gregs vocals have come a long way since Miss Machine , he sounds incredible on both records.." 2
"Better than I expected tbh, Troy and Greg kill it. Max... he's alright" Dew putting in one sentence my feelings about this.

Credit where it's due. I wasn't impressed by the single but there's a lot of stuff to enjoy here for sure.

yeah I'm just a sucker for Greg's finger here, specially in the end of the tracks...most of them take slightly unexpected turns.

yeah, Mastodon is one of my all time fave as well..not exactly for Troy Sanders' vocals, but damn he nailed the harmonies here...is way of singing run the risk of being a little bloated, not in here he's not XD

@licht: imagine thinking I’m ignorant enough to not realise the connection between those bands, doesn’t mean it has much relevance here other than ‘supergroup blah blah’ - which is fine I suppose, except it just reads like an excuse to mention an iconic rock song for no apparent reason. The comparison could’ve been made without that line.

“An excuse to mention an iconic Rock song”, implying he was humble bragging about having heard “Stairway to Heaven” before? Getting more ridiculous by the minute. You’re being a smug ass because you were either uninformed or can’t read, both not a great look.

dead limbs is awesome

@licht: lol, no that wasn’t what I was implying at all. I’m just criticising it’s inclusion as I think the point comes across a somewhat arbitrary, even if it was left as a supergroup parallel (in isolation), then the point is still mostly meaningless. Yes we all know these so-called ‘supergroups’ often fail to capture the magic of their associated acts, this isn’t informative or interesting in the slightest. Not when those artists are not connected to the release in question.
I was simply criticising the review, nothing more and nothing less.

> they just need to ditch cavelera.
Couldn't agree more. I can't stand this dude's voice
|
| |
I mean this band wouldn't exist without Max
|
| |
I imagine he is also probably responsible for that tragic band name
|
| |
hmm

I had no idea this was happening, super glad. I thought the debut was a lot of fun.

Hey Scuro!
|
| |
I have really enjoyed The Damned Things as a 'super group'
Anthrax for (guitar) + Every Time I Die (vox) + Fall Out Boy (guitar and drums) + Alkaline Trio (bass)
It's an odd combination of musicians but I have like both the albums they have done. Apparently, Alk3 joined for the second album since one of the guitarists and bassist didn't return from their first
I think it's about time for me to listen to this again
