Yes - I definitely didn't emphasize enough how critical the drums are to building this atmosphere. They're perfect.

Yeah Idk this whole thing just sounded really sterile to me. Not a lot of memorable moments, really mediocre vocals. Production is crisp but the overall sound is very homogenous

this starts out pretty strong but wow it hella runs out of steam in the last stretch
vocals are a bit of a slog too

I'll take a Rowan 3.3 lol. I agree that the first half is stronger than the second half, but Harbor and Eraser are still great.

The album feels like a journey. It seems so well thought out

I need to listen again but came across this randomly last week, I remember being pleasantly surprised.

I can't get over how all consuming Void is as an opener. Dandelion and Lose both hit me in a huge way this morning and the tracks that I initially viewed as weaker are already blooming.
Also, this album is so much better if you listen to it in one sitting. The whole thing flows amazingly.

Very heavy newer-era brand new vibes here (to good effect!)

Agreed. It's like a softer TDAG, or heavier SF. It's in that ball park atmospherically though; very dark, brooding, etc. especially lyrically

Alrighty, finished the thing and I agree it lost steam towards the end. I find SF is heavier than this, mainly due to better contrast in dynamics. This stays pretty muted in both texture and tempos throughout. It verges more toward slowcore a-la Greet Death toward the end, but the opening definitely has that SF flair. Dandelion is fantastic, though.

Been excited for this for awhile Moon been on constant play since it came out

Lmk what you think. Moon is excellent and it's also a good barometer of the style of music to expect here, but it's also probably only the 5th best song on a 9 track album so you have every reason to be hyped.

Yeah moon never exploded too much but the brooding theme of it definitely hooked me for this album. Haven't heard anything else off this so hopefully it'll impress me!

This album ebbs and flows more than it explodes at any given point

The lack of many standout moments is my biggest complaint but I do really enjoy the ambience on this. I Dont Belong Here and Lose are my favorites thus far

Opener had some firepower imo, only got halfway thru but Lose was great yes

I think the need for standout moments dissipates the more you listen to it. Either that or subtle moments become standouts in time, I'm not sure. All I know is every single song here now builds to something that I anticipate and can't skip.
