Post metal down a bit this year. Hopefully Bossk’s new album gives it a shot in the arm.

Wouldn't call any of those post-metal, but they are very good indeed.

And yeah, I don't consider Ocean to be post-metal anymore. They are leaning too much towards the prog side of things nowadays.
Also, that Dirge album is fucking incredible. Possibly my favourite modern post-metal production job of all time. RIP hard.

Not to hijack this thread about post metal, you all mentioned a bunch already. But here is a quick 5 from each of the last two years you may or may not know.
2019
Cartographs - Wilt & Blossom (disbanded recently, ugh)
Their Methlab - The Last Second (instrumental from Greece)
E-L-O - Maenad (think Amenra)
The Basement Paintings - Antipodes (my current favorite album)
Novarupta - Disillusioned Fire (post metal supergroup)
2020
Wren - Groundswells (Kowloon Walled City vibes)
Three Steps To The Ocean - Del fuoco (instrumental from Italy)
Postvorta - Porrima (gigantic album)
Shallow Waters - Bed Of Snakes (nice mix of subgenres)
NAAT - Fallen Oracles (great guitar tone)

This is really starting to sink in. The transition between heavy and soft in Sequence is epic.

Nice album all around, to be honest i needed more than a few listens to start diggin' it but in the end I did and im having a blast. Kind of a new sound but with the "Enslavy" vibe in it wich is quite nice to be honest.
