These demo tracks are pretty interesting. They really had their shit together when they went in to record the album

@omairsh
yeah man. we started one a month or so ago.
|
| |
Oh damn looks like I had forgotten since I was already subscribed to it haha
|
| |
Never thought I would see the day where I splurge on a ridiculous box set but I can’t help it.
I remember being 14 and looking EVERYWHERE for the Hybrid Theory EP and never found it. Now you can just load up Spotify and it’s here.
The demos and unreleased songs on here are fascinating to listen to.

Found out Chester had died when I was coming back from a Blink-182 show
felt like a big death of childhood
|
| |
Their first two are among the most influential early '00s releases. We still feel their presence today.
|
| |
Yeah man, twenty one pilots carry that torch well < 3
joking, for sure though
|

I am no where near a massive fan of LP, but I do love the boxset and I wish other bands would commerate their releases like this.

Damn right. The boxset is a chunk of cash but I wouldn’t say it was unreasonably priced. The last rob zombie boxset and gnr appetite for destruction boxset had eye watering price tags and you don’t get half as much substantial content as you do here

Worth it for Hybrid Theory EP and Reanimation Vinyl alone.
|
| |
that last elliott smith 25th boxset by kill rock stars was maxed at $1,849.99
cunts!
|
| |
Nice write-up, Simon! The whole package is such a treat for the dedicated fans.

This album is always well worth revisiting. Even if only to feel like I'm eleven again.
|

'And One' is the best LP song ever. Don't @ me.
|
| |
"This was the album in 2000; the gateway album for millions of angsty kids looking to channel their insecurities with an idiosyncratic blend of heavy metal, rap and electronics, all expertly crafted with a meticulously formed and digestible presentation for mainstream audiences."
As one of those prior angsty kids, I can attest to this.
|
| |
i wasn't even angsty at the time (i think?) but i still played this endlessly. sometimes i miss that aspect of being a kid - things hold your interest for so much longer
it's sad to think that someone who had such a big impact on my life died by his own hand
|
| |
only ever knew a few of this band’s songs. The opening to “somewhere I belong,” whichever album that’s on, is still h e a v y

"Reanimation is still my fav LP record"
Ok this man is trying to kiss my ass what do I do
