I almost thought this was going to be a new Frog album and I got unreasonably excited. Still looks interesting though, I occasionally enjoy shoegaze.
Great to see immediate (and quality!) output from some of our newest contribs!

Some of you, (read: no one), probably remember me defending the shift in sound in the comments as the innocent sound of a band branching out to what they want to play but GOD these songs are so boring and there's so many of them!

I need to give this a full spin but the couple tracks I've heard of this didn't really move me. I love Whatever tho. One of my favorite tracks they've recently made.

This is one of the worst albums I've ever heard, hands down. I wish they would have kept going in the gaze direction, ugh.

RARE was a bold departure from their sound with some interesting ideas, but this one goes too far into the dream-poppy pop land for me. It's just too much. Bottle it Up makes me physically cringe.
Nice frog tho.

Yeah Rare was actually sick

If they found a way to mix the sound they had on Rare with the synth type shit on Ultrarare it would probably be an easy 5.

About to dive into this myself, but I did notice on the singles they drifted a bit from Rare. The world of Shoegaze doesn't really appeal much to me as I'm a sucker for big hooks, but Rare absolutely captured me at first listen and I haven't been able to find anything like it since. I've tried Hum and a few others to minimal success, so does anyone have any more records they can suggest that would scratch that itch?

Whoever goes into this hoping for Rare vibes, sorry to say you're gonna end up disappointed. They've fully embraced the synth pop sound.
