Damn, now that I know the band name is from Excalibur, it loses so many cool points. lol I loved it when I had no point of reference.

And those cool points were gained right back when they got to a point in their career where their artistic expression both poetically and visually included a pig with cocks in its eyes, yeah?

I can't say so. They've been cleaning their sound up too much these past few years (not that I've heard this yet) and I really just think the pig with dick eyes looks insanely dumb hahaha. I need to hear this today though.

@MillionDead

Your comment reminded me of when I first got to know all pedals David Gilmour was using live. I honestly wish I hadn't known, I enjoyed the mystery.

In my defense, it wasn't me who uploaded the cover's uncensored version.

I mean, this is legitimate artistic vision of the band (for better or WORSE) so I'd rather it be the thing displayed. lol

Screw that, anyone know what Josh Homme is using?

Queens of the Stone Age are a lil overrated to me ngl. Also, I actually love finding out people's guitar/bass/drum rigs. It adds to my knowledge of creating sounds for myself, and it's generally impressive when you observe people doing more with less. Gilmour's rig used to be streamlined lol.

Anyways, this album is cool, but so far it's not quite hitting that sweet spot. The power metal clean vocals have always been a bit of tough sell but I'm usually indifferent. Like the production is too clean as well and not all of the riffs are my taste. I'm only at Feeding the Death Machine though.

The Whole of the Law is better than this. That album slays. This is still pretty good tho.

The Whole of the Law is pretty disappointing in comparison to Codex, Hell is Empty, Constellations, or Vanitas. Feels neutered and a little sterile. And fuck this band doing chug chug breakdowns.

Album cover makes it an easy assumption this is absolutely terrible music.

Oh yeah. Sounds like that handjob for a cockboy band but with black metal. Album cover is appropriate. And hearing him scream "fuck you if you think im wrong" is so cringe.

Honestly this album is surprisingly good. The vocals are hit or miss, but the music is pretty sweet.

Fun fact, my swipe keyboard always tries to replace "be" with "breee".
