I asked if it would fill my skramz needs bc of the emo tag, I never called the band screamo

now I'm just curious about the Birds In Row dissing

Definitely going to check this today. Artwork is beautiful and the tags seem like something I could get into.

Huh, I like this a good bit. Kind of a gazey sounding Knocked Loose? Got some early PBTT vibes at points too with the atmosphere. Especially like the more BM influenced parts.

I'm probably primed to make this comparison because of the female vox but this really does feel like Rolo Tomassi, but with a little less mathcore and more blending of the atmospheric and aggressive sections.

yeah I really, really like this

This feels like my favorite of theirs, just owns front to back and all of the atmospheric parts are implemented so well

Almost done with my first listen and this was pretty rad. I really like the atmospheric approach and it's got a pretty good balance between the screamed and clean vocals. Some of the songs did blend together a little bit though imo. I'm not usually a fan of multiple 5-6 min songs on a record, but this does a good job of keeping my interest.

Definitely going to spin a few more times to get a good feel for it. But so far I like it quite a bit. Somewhere in the 3.5-4 category right now but I'm going to wait to rate it.

another solid album it seems, silent restraint is really good and might be the best track they've ever done

don't sleep on their other records though, they're great live too

Open Wound is gonna get a nice slot in my SOTY list, I bet. Similar epic, frantic vibes to Dreamcatcher from the State Faults album last year (though a bit different stylistically of course)
