Great examples yes. And there's no problem mentioning CoL in every thread!

We apologize because of your avi Demon...but that CoL is by no means their heaviest...and its more about class and being tight and beautiful, which is a common take by great bands.

@DDD: I didn't say it was their heaviest, that would be The Beyond. It certainly isn't a sign of them mellowing though, especially when Salvation and Vertikal exist. But yes, those synths are otherworldly.

Album blows. Joy was alright. Brutalism is BY FAR their best record

also i think Joe's voice is breaking here more than ever before. guess he's maturing

funny cause his lyrics are doing the opposite.

Yeah Brutalism beats ass while still keeping the catchy hooks and kisses of beautiful melodicism.

IDLES 4th album lyrics: "Yack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack / Yadadadada badabadoo / Hippity hoppity simsalabim / fuck you"

Sucks cause "A stillborn is still born. I am a father" and "Baby shoes, never worn" were such great lyrical heights on the last record. If only he could imbue more tracks with that tortured, personal angle. It'd be beautiful!

first time i heard War, really loved the heavy fucking music and had to laugh out loud when Joe started out with that "wa-ching" sound effect. i got used now, but like does the rest of the band ever go "Joe, we're actually trying here, fuckssake"

it's only the breakings that bother me, but they happen too often imo

also [2] the lyrical heights MillionDead

I do appreciate the humor aspect to the lyrics and would hate for the funniness to vanish, but when the jokes don't land, it feels like wasted space.
