@DDD: De Staat seems like such a random ref here, but I appreciate it regardless. Definitely more fun than this.

It is literally impossible not to laugh at Pikachu and I'm not even sure why. That thread was fairly active for a while. All 5 of us, or however many people actually participated.

that line about catering to the haters by telling them to eat shit is so fucking embarrassing, like something Eminem would've said on Revival thinking it was clever

You sound like a hater and you need to eat shit

honestly grounds is the best song on here followed by war and model village

Model Village is one of my least favourites, lyrics are witless and the riff is some Royal Blood-tier cock rock

Model Village is such a tune, really dig the vibe

“honestly grounds is the best song on here followed by war and model village”
I would also add Reigns to that

'Why does every band get tamer overtime? I wanna see people do the opposite lol.'
Mellowing in your old age is a common concept, but yeah sometimes artists just get comfortable and stop pushing themselves - which often results in creating watered-down versions of their previous material.
There are exceptions, one that springs to mind is ETID - From Parts Unknown was released 15 years in and is arguably heavier and more creative than anything else they'd done up until that point. All their more recent material is praised and considered close to, if not at their peak. Cult of Luna's latest sounds absolutely monstrous as well and redefined their own artistic boundaries in many ways (argh, feel like I mention them in every thread now).
