Yeah it is kind of, but it was weird on almost every other album of theirs.

I rolled through this again and ended up removing it from my end of the year list. "Accelerator" is good, but there's so much to cringe about on the album. My wife was in the car next to me and she asked "Is he saying he feels like a Panther"? and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed that I was listening to it.

Didn't know Walruses were embarrassed by Panthers, you learn something new everyday I guess

Yeah, we only have Polar Bears where I'm from so when you see a panther it's like "damn boi, you gotta eat some more seals or something, you're too skinny." Super embarrassing to see a black polar bear not smart enough to hunt for themselves.

I think if I could get over how self-righteous/important the lead singer feels like he is then I would agree. But he leaks out into all the songs in a way that is just off-putting. To each there own!

well, if I had the voice and songwriting skills of Daniel Gildenlow, I'd also be a pompous self-righteous prick lol.

Instead I'm just a pompous self-loathing prick

Y'all should check the new Our Oceans (While Time Disappears). I get a PoS crossed with The Dear Hunter vibe from it and it's very good.

This album was straight out boring, just like the previous one. Nothing as offensively bad as the two road salts, but I still struggled to find any enjoyment out of it. Guess I'll stick to their pre-Scarsick stuff.

It's pretty awesome once you manage to get into it. Accelerator, Wait and Icon are stellar.

I didn't enjoy Panther as much as their previous album. Also, the production is so weird. Wait is a cool tune though.
