Balls,
These guys write some pretty groovy riffs while making the rhythms interesting enough. Listen to the song War of Fidelity and I'm sure you will be convinced. A good thrash metal meets black metal song.

I've heard My Kingdom Will Come off of "The Pagan Prosperity" and enjoy what I heard. They apparently have no myspace so I guess i'll order another batch of cds off the net.

Dont like it as much as In Defiance Of Existence or The Pagan Prosperity, but its still a very good album. Galder's work in this band is much better than his work in Dimmu Borgir. This album, IDOE, and TPP are really the only really good OMC albums. The rest are just ok.

I agree except that Born of the Flickering is good too. I wish Galder did more of this stuff in Dimmu Borgir but than I probably wouldn't like these guys as much. Good album none the less. War of Fidelity has one of the sickest opening riffs.

Yeah if Dimmu had better guitar playing they would so much better. Not saying they arent good because they're one of my favorite bands.

Puritanical will always be one of my favourite albums. Its their only album where they really show off their guitar chops.

Galder is an amazing songwriter. His talent definitely shows through more on OMC releases rather than Dimmu Borgir cds. I have this cd and In Defiance of Existence and both kick ass.

this is really good imo.
I am rly getting into the whole symphonic black metal scene. A lot of BM elitists will probably call me a poser for it though.

Who gives a fuck. Symphonic black metal rules.

OMC is more like melodic black metal. Dimmu Borgir is not all that great, so they shouldn't speak for symphonic black metal. I don't know any other symphonic bm bands unfortunately. Care to name some?

Checked out some of those, though not many cos I don't have enough space for this much black metal alone... on topic - Twilight Damnation off this album rules.

Old Man's Child Vermin like their album Revelation-666 are underrated side-project works by Galder from Dimmu Borgir.
These two albums are excellent post-BM material.
|

of all things that could be labeled "post-bm" this band is most certainly not one of them
|

yeah i like bands such as alcest, les discrets, old mans child... :]
