There was a huge retro dance pop hit in like 2013-2015 does anyone remember it? was on the radio like all the time. The singer was some broad with short curly hair I think and the video was 90s as fuck too with cool dancing.

"I don’t really think the rhythmic elements of this are very similar to FN but ight."

utterly preposterous

"And the vocal melodies for the most part are not that similar other than a few songs"

although they do both use the same layered chorus effects across like the entire album so even that one is severely debatable lmao

but dua does have a more modern poppy approach to her vocal melodies

I'll choke you out like the manlet you are and wake you up via vicious cock slaps to your face to the beat of this album after i rawdogged your mom. Don't talk to your father like that.

i can only chalk all of this rubbish up to yall being completely unfamiliar with the sub genres in question and thats cool but damn spare my braincells

re rhythms you could virtually go into audacity and line up a song off this with a song on fn and the tempo would be the same and every single kick and snare would line up perfectly

and i'd grab a bpm calculator and count the cock slaps and then show you that it doesn't even remotely resemble Isolation and then i'd flip you over and play paddy-cakes on your ass to show you how drastically removed the percussion on a neo-soul album is from this shit
