"Well, at least he's still writing, that's good to hear"
Agreed. In regards to touring could be a family time thing

It sucks that Luke, Moe, and Arif aren't "with" the band anymore, but at least they're all still buds. That being said... all we got left are Rody and Tim.

It'll definitely be interesting to see what the next release sounds like. iirc, they mentioned that since it took them so long to put out Palimpsest they were already a decent chunk into writing another by the time it dropped. Hopefully it doesn't take another 7 years in between LP's lol

"Tapestry sounds, to me, like a Fortress song but...like bad"
Apart from the Bloodmeat reference, I don't exactly see what about it reminds you of Fortress. It and Scurrilous aren't really that similar.

Finished my run through of their discog and have confirmed my ranking and it is just 3 tiers:
Fortress = Scurrilious > Palmipest = Kezia >>>>>>> Volition = PM
Kezia I need to continue to spend more time with since I didn't get into the band till Scurrilious singles were coming out and largely ignored it. Listening to it yesterday was great and has a whole different raw and youthful energy around it. I still think Scurrilious is largely scathed for just being different. I give up trying with Volition and PM, I just dont care about them at all compared to all their other work.

I'm just so glad that someone else likes this one as much as I do. This and Kezia are my two faves :]

Honestly, after relistening through the discog, I am open and understanding to basically any ranking as long as you put Volition and PM last.

It's by no means a bad song, but I don't find myself returning to it as often as everything else.

yeah Little Snakes is 200% not a dud, one of the stronger tracks for me on here, honestly owing a lot to how bluntly angry the lyrics are strangely enough

This album just doesn't get old for me tbh, especially the b-sides.

I'm ok with removing either Soliloquy or Reverie but Little Snakes absolutely stays.

Little Snakes is great yh, throw half of Scurrilous onto the dud pile and maybe Plato's Tripartite for being boring. And maybe one of the Goddess songs too

I will tear you limb from limb

To Porter, With Love might be one of the best songs from the Scurry sessions
