It's tough because I love a lot of song on Scurrilous and Volition. I think it just depends on my mood. Looking at Volition I really don't care for "Animal Bones" and "Mist" is fine but "Skies", "Plato's Tripartite" and "Yellow Teeth" are excellent.

Mist was my favorite PTH song until this album

Good Volition choices Walrus. I think I'm a big fan of Mist because it seems to be a uniquely constructed melody-forward PTH song. Yellow Teeth is way up there on my PTH rankings period.

These guys really haven't released a bad album (besides Pacific Myth).

I might prefer Pacific Myth over Volition.

Mist is a super unusual track to single out from Volition for a negative reason, seems like basically everyone loves it

Have you been to Newfoundland? If you know, you know.

i haven't been but the musical Come From Away makes me cry like a baby so between that and Mist I guess I need to move there

Mist is the most fun Protest track probably

"Mist" is a good track, don't get me wrong, but I don't connect with it as much because... I've never been to Newfoundland.

I get that it's meant to be subversive, but essentially closing the album with a refrain of "make America great again" strikes me as the wrong move lmfao

I can see that, but I really appreciate that move haha

It's amazing how much this album bops. ''From the Sky'' for instance is so groovy.

"I get that it's meant to be subversive, but essentially closing the album with a refrain of "make America great again" strikes me as the wrong move lmfao"
Good thing they ended it with the phrase "I sold my kingdom for a song"...

The strange thing is that it's a Canadian band writing about US history. I mean, if you're going to write about others, you might as well write about the whole West, not just US.
