While I realize that the vocals on this album are technically very well done, I'm not a fan of the style. Would probably consider an even higher rating if they were just traditional death growls, thats how good this is instrumentally

There are moments where they incorporate growls and I just appreciate that style more than the bm-esque vox, which seem much more prevalent here

I don't mind the bm vox here but it would definitely sound better if it was all growls, or at least if it was mostly growling with the occasional shriek instead of the other way around.

As the rev mentions there s a clear bm side here in relation to the debut...like an Immortal(esque) vibe...which is very cool considering what all others osdm bands are doing. That said, I like the debut just as much (if not a little more. Eheh)

I know there's a clear bm side, thats why I said that lol. Anything more than a slight "blackened" leaning sound is detrimental for the experience to me, as I just dont dig that style a whole lot. I get that some people do, and thats great. Nothing is for everyone. Im just explaining where I personally am coming from on this one

I'll have to check cosmovore again. Maybe I'll come around on the vox, idk it's just something I really never got into. It's definitely not gonna prevent me from jamming it tho

The blackened elements are well incorporated, I for one wouldn’t want these guys to abandon that in favour of a style more akin to straight-up DM. There’s plenty of that floating around already.
