i do find the production holds this back a bit on reflection - it's a bit artificial and lacks punch in the rhythm guitars. i miss the bite of medusa.

"This is the best a PL album has sounded since One Second easily in terms of production".
Well that's hardly an accomplishment. My ears still hurt after listening to that awful Believe in Nothing remaster. And don't even get me started on In Requiem, I couldn't raise the fucking volume too high without the sound getting distorted.

drum sound on this is terrible, previous album I listened to by them was believe in nothing so I couldn't judge. but if that statement is true, what the f were they doing production wise since One Second?
Album is quite ok...

Everyone appears to be split upon the Believe In Nothing remaster. Personally I just found it a bit muddier than the original

'For Jesus Christ" doesn't cut it for ya Noctus? To be fair, I really fucking hate that chorus, but overall I dig the vibe they're portraying with the lyrics in general

lol why do people suddenly lose their mind whenever the holy dude is called by full "name"

"They're not the best but surely it isn't a deal breaker."
definitely is, has been for the entirety of this band's career
like consider the fact that their peers all write fucking fantastic lyrics and then you have this and instrumentally these guys are on the same level and it's just... yeah. i don't get this band. never have, never will. this album's just okay.

OK Dark didn't know your dislike went that deep. But as a long time PL aficionado I can say that this is the good stuff.

What the hell Noctus, the lyrics on Icon and Draconian Times are great.
Yeah they're not as complex as CoF's or MDB's but still there's some interesting stuff on those albums.
