No matter how many times I see the title I read it as Petals for Amor.

First three tracks are decidedly the best and it's steadily downhill after that, rummaging in a sinusoidal wave between 'tolerable' and 'actively shit', until the closer which is probably the fourth best track.

I'm glad I haven't really kept up to the constant song releases since the beginning of part 2. Can't believe there are 15 songs here, I'm excited

Thank you for this review rowbro. I thought about doing one too, but this is the review it deserves (:

Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris is a main highlight for me. Feel like it would've been a better album if they shaved off 15 minutes. Few tracks on here that just don't really go or do anything that engaging.

definitely not a fan of the lack of variety on the new tracks for sure (was never huge on AL's synth-pop anyway), but I gotta say I'm still so in love with this album overall

Top notch review, Row. Really wish I enjoyed this more. It's good, but I just want a bit more colour and variety. A hook that jumps out, a melody that catches the attention, or a mood I can get lost in. It seems to go half-way towards each of those but never quite makes it.

While I appreciate being able to hear the rest of the songs, there’s something off-putting about already having heard 2/3’rds of the album before it was actually released.

What’s with all the terrible album covers lately?

I’ll have to give this a listen soon though.

"this'll be my last for a while, I think. finding it increasingly difficult just to engage with the process and borderline exhausting to finish it"

Feeling this lately too, word by word, rowbro. Gonna get on this later.

I get that, that's how I felt about a lot of these at first. Luckily these tracks grow on you like crazy

Sounds very good on first listen, but it is the type of album you need time to absorb. Some of the best albums are that way.

I know I'm probably in the minority here (per usual), but I prefer the subtlety of II to the bombast of I.

Enjoyed this more than l thought l would. Not the biggest fan of 15 song albums so some of the songs sorta quickly fade from memory, but Roses is my standout as it was the one that got stuck in my head

listening to this now. know three songs by paramore ("hard times," "ain't it fun," "misery business") and only like "misery business" of those three. for whatever that's worth
