These guys were always one of the better contemporary thrash acts, I'll check this out.

@manosg I've heard "rethrash" a lot more than "neo-thrash" but it's a reasonable term for the wave of 2000s revival bands.

I thought neo thrash was another term for groove metal like LoG.

All I need now is for Vader's album on Friday to be...well, Vader.

Indeed, some straightforward Vader would be welcome.

This rules. Anyone have any recommendations on great modern thrash releases?

You should ask "parksungjoon", he is the thrash metal encyclopedia in here.

He know is stuff.

(but you probably already know that, or ask other knowledgeable members)

@NonApplicable Flotsam and Jetsam's last 2 releases were great and are very underrated in my opinion. If you haven't, you should check them out.

In my opinion, the most relevant thrash release in recent decades is Vektor's Terminal Redux. If you haven't heard it yet I would suggest you give it a spin.

This ruled. I can't wait to check out the rest of their discography. And I don't like Terminal Redux :p

I'm glad you liked it Pika. It has nothing to do with Terminal Redux, they're different creatures.

Like Woe to the Vanquished, it gets close to being their best but just falls a hair short. Waking Into Nightmares is still my favorite from these guys, but this record really show much they've grown and matured in their songwirting, Defiance Of Fate is easily a nu-thrash classic.
