I agree. Definitely didn't need so many tracks though.

They could have EASILY cut this in half and used the rest for their next one. Everything since 2018 has sounded the fuckin same anyway

I’m actually pretty shocked people think it’s better than AB. AB certainly has lower lows, but also much higher highs.

AB has close to no highlights imo. I only ever return to "Prisoner" and "One in a Million". New one sounds like it could have a few, but I need to listen more.

Those two, lyrics lie, born to fail, night sway, and say hi all are awesome

Like 3-4 songs stuck out to me on JJ in a sea of 17 lol

Cream of the Crop is a genuine banger but at this point I just assume every DGD album will have 3-4 great songs and a lot of filler otherwise

I think they're getting too comfortable with their sound, which given the bands early history does makes sense. it's up in the air if tillian is going to come back or not, but maybe moving on from him and finding a vocalist who brings something completely new is what the band needs.

for some reason i dont see them having andrew be THE clean vocalist moving forward. could end up being wrong

I absolutely see them turning to andrew full time and continuing with the same ol sound. Eidola isn't a repository of interesting ideas itself

I'd be down for full time andrew, his voice is pretty

ngl some of Cream Of The Crop toward the end is pretty nice. but the other 3 they released before the album fully dropped were absolutely rancid lol

did not realize before One Man's Cringe how much Andrew's falsetto reaches Tillian territory

cooled off a bit and tried JJ again. its more consistent than AB but it's a pretty low bar. they have some great moments but it did not have to be 17 tracks.

going back to listen to DBM1 after is incredibly jarring. its so much simpler but does WAY more and actually has teeth.

Wow Colton gave some semblance of credit to DGD? The world must be ending

JJ is good yeah. Really picks up towards the end, last 6 songs have some really cool stuff going on. Might bump to a 3.5 in time

I like the polka dot song or whatever it’s called, and it was cool to hear Rob Damiani on a track but other than that? No real highlights. Pray for your Mother is alright I guess
