To You the First Star though?

That one isn't really doing anything for me. Decent album with some nice moments but ultimately it doesn't really hook me in at all.

Got any recs. for good metalcore bands with technical guitar riffs like this band has?
I guess what I really want is more of something like invent, animate lol.

Have you heard Capsule - Blue?

Well if you want Invent Animate you won't find it here my man. And I'd argue this is a lot more technical than IA's new direction on Greyview.
If you're in the market for progcore kind of stuff, I'm far from a good source since I really dislike that genre. I can get you stuff similar to this band though.

You never know until you try!
But I think it's a winner.

Is this like Converge?

They have technicality, but perhaps not as much as Converge or Dillinger, and it's definitely not as raw/ominous as Converge.
It's basically kind of like mid-career Dillinger where it's a balance of metalcore technicality, progressive elements, and memorable melodies/refrains/what have you, if that makes sense.

Sounds good to me!

Try "Nirvana," I think that's a solid sampler.

Capsule was great. Thanks for rec. I absolutely love the riffs in Title Track. I need more of that in my life. I'm kind of a newly convert to progcore or whatever they call it. I've traditionally leaned more towards atmospheric Post-Rock/Metal soundscapes like Devil Sold His Soul/Amia Venera etc.
https://youtu.be/2qaI8i5ZYrA?t=225 Amia can get technical though. I've always loved that section of A New Aurora. I want lots and lots of that :D
This album grew on me pretty fast. Been enjoying IA, Polaris, and Currents too. I'm sure there's better stuff out there that's just what I've found so far xD All credit goes to Greyhaven for any interest I have in this type of music. They the first band I was like whoa, I need more of this.

If you want some more post-metal infused core, try Challenger by Knut, To You the First Star by Eden Maine, The Woman You Saw... by Harlots, and Fall in Line by Zapruder.
Out of those, Harlots' debut probably has the most to offer in terms of a thick atmosphere. Production isn't hot, but that's part of what makes it so captivating to be honest.

Oh, and I'm glad you like this!

ahhhh, just checked the first song and this should be right up my alley. Loving me some mathy metalcore with melodic postrock/-core influences.
Sounds like a tamer dillinger with more obvious pop sensibilities

It's good stuff my man. Got some good prog thrown in for good measure.

Overall, this was pretty solid work. I do get where people are coming from with the "tame(r) DEP" vibes, as this has a nice light infusion of math sensibilities, and tone and flow were good; I didn't mind the cleans either...

Yeah, these guys are definitely not full on spazzcore but they can throw down. Cleans are definitely solid. If nothing else, they server their purpose and aren't intrusive.

Yeah used sparingly as they were here i like them, they add another dimension. I wouldnt want more though.
