they're mostly fine but there was a brief foray into really bad whine vocals in the first track

I might have to disagree, When a band gets a 2.5 on playing metalcore, gets a 2.5 on playing mathcore, do they get a 5 when they do metalcore + mathcore? Obviously not.
Of course, their attempts are commendable, but the basics aren't solid.

Yezzzzz, glad this got a review. I went to their record release show and got a CD included with the ticket, hadnt even heard of them till the night before the show. It was a good 'un.
