Good god, that build-up/climax in Dim really is the best thing ever written

And with Her Came the Birds and Thirtyfour are great. The rest of the album has its moments but nothing as awesone as those two tracks.

I find CoL a great band but prefer their approach with Vertikal or the last album.

I'm not saying last two songs are bad my any means, but not a great way to finish an album after listening to thirtyfour.

if it wasn't too theme heavy and had a couple more actual songs vertikal would be a classic

I'm not a big fan of CoL, I don't connect to their post side, I tend to find it a bit boring. But when it clicks, I really love it. I guess that's why I like Vertikal (or Mariner) better.

Nah its trash flow is trash songwriting pretty trash, Sonics were weak and nowhere near the perfection col has reached before in terms or building engaging and creative soundscapes/riff flow

Plus it was just freaking boring

This album is too long for what is offered on it. It is not justified. It is very easy to disconnect from it until those few moments come when they get the listener's attention. You reach Back to Chapel Town and things get better and better and then thirtyfour is gone and again boredom.

Starless sure does spend a long time discussing how most of this band's material sucks, or isn't as good as people think... it's like the Converge threads all over again.
