It's a tough dance. You can't say you like everything because they won't believe you, and every time you shit on someone's favorite something-or-other, they get pissed. The most successful critics say whatever the majority says.

Ain’t that the goddamn truth.
Personally, I’ll talk shit on the stuff I dislike all day. If that grinds people’s gears, good. Pretty much ruins any chance I have of being a reputable reviewer, but you know what benefits from it? My ear for music. Which, in the end, is the only thing that matters.
There is SUCH a big difference between having the discernment to know what makes music high quality, and knowing how to spin a paragraph describing the sounds you hear. It’s the difference between being an artist, and being a critic.
Don’t let anyone tell you what to like.

Album continues to pull me back in, it's so addicting. There's not enough consistency for me to 4.5 this, but man is it just a really cool experimental piece. Definitely one of the year's stronger LPs. The closer is my favorite song.

Out of curiosity, which of those albums do you not like? Pretty much the only one I’d consider dropping is Aeroplane over the Sea. Maybe make OK Computer a 4.5.
