God he sucks. I tried so hard to like him over the years too since I dug his work in Greeley, In Fear and Faith and the first couple TWA releases, but he is just the worst.

""Definitely - the one thing I tell people about this record is to really listen to the lyrics. I’ve told a lot of stories through my time in the band; some are laced with metaphors and analogies and some are about other people.

"Thank you for being everything I hated
For being everything I'm not
For never believing in me
For never telling the truth
Thank you!"

world class lyricism

butt.

Honestly his lyricism has not grown an inch since his time in In Fear and Faith ...

It just used to be masked with decent delivery along with the badass and surprisingly technical instrumentation and well crafted song structures.

Feather, he’s wants to be known for the lyricism and vocals, not the instrumentation. Don’t you understand???

1 of the only 2 comments on that article:

"Sacramento doesn’t fuck with shitty bands."

Ouch.

Apparently none of their gear got stolen. That's a tragedy. If only the thief could have prevented them from making more music.

((((not that i condone theft or burglary))))

"Pinned down, wrapped up, in the arms of sleep.

I feel it slowing now. I can barely see my way out."

^ the first verse from their first song from their first EP is literally better/more sincere than anything on this entire album

Speaking of Greeley, seven hours was about how Telle quit the band seven hours before their first show on tour at the time. 🤙Dude seems cool

I’m actually convinced that TWA streambots on Spotify. They have ~885k monthly listeners but have almost nonexistent social media engagement. Most of their posts don’t even crack 75 likes/10 comments.

What social media platform are you looking at? Myspace?

Twitter mostly. Facebook has a slightly higher engagement but even then they have >100k followers on FB and can barely scrape 0.1% engagement even with major announcements. I don’t have a vendetta against the band but the way they market themselves on social is pretty delusional.

Not helped by the fact Telle acts like a douche nozzle online

@Concubary no way! That is wild. I loved No Rain, No Rainbow. Not surprised Telle would pull some shit like that.
