EPs often aren't enough for me no matter how good they are. It's like watching a Pixar Short verses one of their actual movies. The shorts are usually pretty fucking cool, but it's not enough and I won't generally go back to it... same with EPs.

Thanks for the support guys, I truly appreciate it.
Regarding the EP vs LP issue, as in everything, we have good and bad examples. There are EPs that I really enjoy, like Bloodbath's Unblessing the Purity or Napalm Death's Mentally Murdered, but it seems to me somewhat consensual that full-length releases are usually the most relevant works.

Weird pick, right?
It serves as a metaphor for the soulless rock business.

Didn't even know he had an ep coming out

Good review, really liked the original songs, but didn't care that much for the covers. Glad this doesn't have Amr production

Yeah he had some very unfortunate production issues with Amr. Have yet to hear this but the single was cool.

Amr was really bad for me, this one is really good tbh, strong release.

Really well done review. I'm still deciding where I want to rate this. I love some Ihsahn, but it's rare for an EP to score higher than a 3.5

The new material is cool, Nord and the t/t especially. Covers are fun, haha!

Yeah, I like the way they unexpectedly pop up. Paul Di'Anno's tone fits his vocal delivery perfectly.

Agreed! And the sax is a nice touch.

Have you noticed that the sax is everywhere? In the originals and covers.

Good review! I find this a good effort, and the two covers are unexpectedly fun. That said, that trumpety keyboard sound is something really awful.
