Help me Jesus...

Toadies smashed it out of the park here; than disappeared for awhile, it was just tours. Fucking Interscope! I was waiting to buy their next record 'Feeler' at the time.

Such an underrated album on the landscape of 90s alt rock. Though I don't know how I never before noticed how similar Tyler is to Where Is My Mind by the Pixies.

whole album is pretty much just straight pixies worship, but done really really well

I never considered it either until reading a bit of background on the lead singer and how the Pixies and Talking Heads were apparently his introduction to alternative and less mainstream rock. Then I threw on Tyler and was like..."God damn, that guitar is totally ripping off Where Is My Mind.."

Still a god damn awesome song and album. Should I bother with the rest of their discography at all? It doesn't look too promising.

Hell Above, Stars Below has a few of their best songs. The rest of their albums have some good material but nothing that really stands against the first two imo.

This is such an awesome and underrated album. Possum Kingdom was a minor hit, but Toadies In general were completely overshadowed by the popularity of “grunge). So many successful rock albums came out that year — a seriously crazy amount — Superunknowm, The Downward Spiral, Vitalogy, Smash, Live Through This, Nirvana Unplugged, Jar of Flies, Sixteen Stone, Ill Communicaton, Weezer Blue album, Throwing Copper, Purple.

Just insanely overcrowded. And it amazes me to look at how popular rock as a genre in the 90s vs today. So Rubberneck just sort of slipped thru the cracks.

Tyler is my personal favorite on here. But the album is incredibly consistent. Not a bad song in the whole lot.

Yup agreed. This is their best, Hell Above has some of their finest songs and the rest is alright but pretty forgettable.

Insanely underrated album. Tyler is in my top ten favorite songs of all time.

Funny you should say that though, they cover Where is my Mind on the Toadies Live in Paradise album. Fucking great live album.
