Not that it's bad. Personally, I think Envy at their peak is when they drew a fine line between post rock melodies and (post) hardcore blast beats as in A Dead Sinking Story. Everything sounds snooze-y after that album.



This album sorta has that balance yet feels a bit softer even at its loudest moment. Kinda like a post-rock album with a splash of signature Envy's hardcore elements.

Everything up through the splits with Thursday and Jesu were great imo. Everything last decade was hit and miss though

The climax riffs in rhythm is so good. Whole album is an amazing mix of earlier envy with the new more past rock oriented stuff but in a perfectly blended way

Trying to get into this band. Which album is a good place to start? Chronological order, or do you guys recommend a specific piece?
