Good on the Melon tbh
I understand Green Day have families that need feeding but couldn’t they just go on tour? This ‘product’ is an insult to our collective intelligence and good grace

There must be a moment where Billy Bob and the boys look at each other and acknowledge the fact they are churning out absolute shit before striking into yet another abysmal piece of nonsense.
There must be.
The march of the soulless.

Agree hard with the Doof here. Plenty of material for a 2 hour show. But I guess sitting confortably in the studio with a producer gets the buck quicker and easier. Regardless of the outcome, the name just makes money.

It's amazing how dead Billy seems playing these songs. Saw a performance of Oh Yeah and he seemed to have no motivation whatsoever. I really am starting to believe the troll album theory. It's at least a throwaway and I think they damn well know it.

I really hope they only made this to get out of their contract and we never have to hear from them again, this band is aging like milk. I thought Rivers Cuomo at 48 was embarrassing but this is just another level...

If that is true I'll give them one more album. I can't let these boys go, they've been one of my favs for years, but another album like this and I'm done.

I get that, but they've been floundering for over a decade at this point, y'know? I say it's time they step down and let someone else fill stadiums or headline festivals.

For sure. Even their best records post-AI (Rev Radio) are super patchy. And then there's the question of where they can even go from here. They've exhausted their sound completely.

I’ve never listened to any of the latter day Green Day records, but the outrageously terrible reviews for this meant I had to check it out...
A few offensively bad moments, other than that I found the blandness, lack of ambition and complete loss of identity most striking about this record. But I didn’t outright hate every single song.

Clapping in the song so the audience knows when to clap because otherwise no one would clap for this.

God dammit Green Day.

ok this isnt a particularly great record but the fact it's rated below even Dos by most on this site is insane, its at the very least better and more concise than the entire trilogy. especially considering its largely a troll to get out of their contract.
