Well, after a year of sitting with it I think this finally settled at a 4.

Might jam this again but it didn’t exactly blow me away at release

Listening to this band for the very first time

Be aware this sounds nothing like their early stuff

I haven't listened to any of it, but I'm spinning this one now

This and Bleeding are their best albums imo

Bleeding is top shit yeh, this fell off just a tad since I first spun it tho, still a killer record nonetheless

So in an unexpected twist, this has grown on me quite a bit. I think maybe me jamming a lot of epic doom recently has something to do with it

The 24 year old me would've eaten A Social Grace up had I heard it back then. The 44 year old me prefers the style of this record in every way.
Going to be spending a lot of time listening to these guys.

These guys have been one of my favorite bands since I was a teenager. When I found out the clerk I had been bullshitting about music with at my local music store was also the drummer for this band, I was shocked. That was my first brush with a 'star'. Ha ha.

Easily my favorite of 2020, along with Long Day Good Night

No weak moments, very consistent. At first, I thought maybe it was a little too long, but that has subsided. Album ends on a very high note.
