This is super duper good. Listened to it earlier in the year and liked it enough, but it didn’t stick with me. Recently revisited it and now I’ve had it on repeat all week. Heart of Coal is a fucking jam.

Just started my first spin of the album, damn The Song of Hiawatha rules. I feel this what Sojourner strive to achieve instead of just relying on just generic riffs with female vox and call it a day. I really dig that the layers of nylon acoustic are back from Sachem Tales and with bits of Saorism in the strings. Drum programming is top notch as well and sounds lively and intricate yet not overly complicated. Looking forward to give this one many spins
