@teamster, This album is hella underrated around here. Fen in general is hella underrated. I don't get why everyone compares them to Agalloch. Imo they're a solid cut above Agalloch by every measure. Three 5s for one band? Easy bruv, some bands are worth it! This isn't far off from being my thrid 5 for these guys as well.

Evok - don’t know if u saw the news but the drummer left the band - I guess he was the head honcho behind the creative process on this album. So it will interesting to see what’s next for Fen.

True, but its still a cut above its peers on most fronts. Sad to gear the brains behind the brawn is gone though. Hopefully they can pull off a Cormorant and truck onward without him while maintaining the high quality output.

yeah definitely, here's hoping
i wasn't expecting this album to be bigger than winter - it really couldn't be. i like that this album is interesting when you pay attention but just as easy to enjoy in the background where 'winter' is so oppressive and dense in comparison. this album's a lot more enjoyable when presented in a vacuum without the previous works to compare it to.
