Well I don't really even consider this a remix album since the tracks have been remixed to an unrecognizable level, in most cases they're completely different songs that just have a familiar title.
Compared to some fucking pigshit like Isis -Oceanic remixes. Electronic tracks can remix pretty well

lmao nah man some of the remixes on that ISIS record were good

There's two or three that are ok. The rest of them are laughably bad, Mike Patton's remix of maritime nearly knocked me off my chair.
But I think the original album is basically perfect so I'm not saying I could do a better one, I'm just not sure why the hell they bothered
|

cuz remix records of metal records were a trend. I def could leave some of them out but about 8 of those remixes are solid: JK Broadrick, Fennesz, Koner, Hecker, Oktopus's remixes were solid.

Well either way I'm glad THE TREND IS DEAD

yea it's a shame, would love to hear dnb remixes of post-metal

"I'm surprised gyro has the stones to comment on anything Sophie-related since the entire community now knows what a massive transphobic dunce he is"
I do not know this.

i dont care too much for her ambient material, but the harder hitting tracks on here are soooo good. specifically the two whole new world remixes, which both eclipse the original in pretty much every way.
|
| |
i like the remixes more than the original too !

yeah I’m very excited for whatever she does next.
https://youtu.be/4cPJSCBLpeQ I love the ambient direction but I wouldn’t mind a release full of nasty shit like this

On repeat all day

Oh my god rip

Wrangled the physical product for this. The definitive edition for me, where the remix album leads into the proper album as its third disc. Indelible, momentous music. RIP

God I variously love/feel-grateful-for-/will-take-on-the-task-of-proselytizing-for This. Improved; immaculate; accordingly snark-free zone
