it's been years since I've cared for screamo of the Envy and Mesa Verde variety but this is sublime

@butt: well before this year I wasn’t really a fan, now I’ve got this situation where 2 of my fave ‘19 releases are at least part screamo. What others have you heard out of curiosity?

@demon the other one i heard this year, probably what you're referring to, was State Faults. Which I would actually say was a good record, but I think the vocals just aren't really for me. It's the kind of stuff I liked in high school. Listening to dudes basically cry just doesn't do much for me anymore lol. that's what a lot of this sounds like to me

I liked State Faults, but personally I preferred Cara Neir which is part blackened-skramz/hardcore. Yeah I don’t always get on with the overly emotional vocals, but I’ve found a few exceptions that hit the spot. Not understanding the lyrics probably helps (like here), because damn is it corny sometimes.

Gotta say I'm amazed to see two Swedish bands at the top of the charts in 2019. Never thought I'd see that.
