ik people will always say the game doesnt need to be remade, and thats true, but like, its not like its going anywhere. I hope the remake is good and doesnt do what a lot of modern games do, which is baby and handhold the player

It's made by Bloober team who only have one or two decent games under their belt so I'm not hopeful tbh. It'll probably look good though.

Bluepoint do have some wizards on their staff. Their port work sounds intense and mind boggling. If they did the actual sh2&3 HD collection it would've been enough so maybe getting bloober was actually a step up considering everything.



People still love the franchise but it hasn't had an amazing entry in like two decades so they have a lot to prove. Even if it's just the exact same game it'll probably be enough for the fans.

Yeah, bluepoint remade shadow of the colossus and Demon's Souls. Their remaster work is impeccable though. Head and shoulders above every other remaster job I've seen.



Hijinx did sh collection and went defunct because of it from what I've come to understand. Moreso Konami's fault than theirs though.

Yeah, 20 year cycles I think are the golden standard for remakes for games and graphically games will have diminishing returns as technology advances. The remake was probably just a way of training new hires as they ramp up for their next full-fledged game.
